MTV intervjuar Ashley om The Apparation + ny still från filmen!

This is an exciting year for actress Ashley Greene. She just shot a pilot for ABC called “Americana,” which revolves around legendary fashion designer Robert Soulter. Greene plays Alice — coincidentally the same name as her “Twilight Saga” character — who joins Soulter’s business. Her film “Butter,” following a small town and their butter-carving contests, will be released in October.

Plus, she stars alongside Miley Cyrus in ”LOL,” a remake of the 2008 French comedy — not to mention the highly anticipated final “Twilight” installment, ”Breaking Dawn – Part 2,” in which she’ll reprise her role of Alice Cullen for the final time.

Before Greene dons the cropped locks and golden contacts, she’ll fight for her life to escape a supernatural presence alongside Sebastian Stan in this summer’s thrilling horror flick ”The Apparition.”

For Summer Movie Preview Week, MTV News spoke with Greene about being haunted as opposed to haunting, the injuries she sustained on set and the scene she’s most looking forward to in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2.”

MTV News: What’s it like to be on the other side of the haunting in “The Apparition,” as opposed to playing the vampire?
Ashley Greene:
I didn’t think of it like that, but you’re right! [My character] Kelly is very … human. Death is knocking at her door, and she is fighting for her survival. It was a different experience than playing an — almost — indestructible character like Alice Cullen. I had to take on a lot more loss, betrayal and vulnerability when playing Kelly.

MTV News: You worked with “Harry Potter” star Tom Felton in this movie, and you’ve both been in huge film franchises. Do you guys talk about your experiences?
Greene:
Tom’s a really great, grounded guy. We did trade some stories about our experiences, out of mutual curiosity. He feels similar to the way I do: blessed, grateful and utterly in awe of our fans.

MTV News: How was the vibe on set? Did you joke around with the other actors, or was it more serious because of the content?
Greene:
There were moments of both. We did have dance parties every Friday in the makeup trailer and made the most of our weekends, but there are times and days where it’s a little difficult to disconnect from the character and darker scenarios.

MTV News: Did you have to do any stunts?
Greene:
The stunts on this were much different then something like “Twilight.” No wires, but lots of scenes requiring agility. I think I injured myself more on this film because of the intensity of the scenes. You get wrapped up and don’t realize how hard you’re pounding your hand or that you’ve hurt your ankle until the end of the scene.

MTV News: Is there CGI work involved with the spirit?
Greene:
Yes, there is amazing CGI work in the film. I don’t want to give too much away, but I will say the visuals are very compelling. Also, it’s important to note that this film is a supernatural thriller that really keeps you guessing. The fear is built through suspense and fear of the unknown, rather than the blood or gore of a horror film.

MTV News: Have you ever felt like you had a supernatural experience?
Greene:
Supposedly, my building in L.A. is haunted. One time, my dogs woke me up, barking, and my front door was open. I had set my alarm before I went to sleep that night, and it hadn’t gone off. That was scary.

MTV News: How did you psych yourself up for filming those scarier and more thrilling scenes?
Greene:
I just try to make the situation as real as possible. I put myself in my character’s shoes and experience what she’s experiencing as she’s experiencing it.

MTV News: What scene are you most excited to see in “Breaking Dawn – Part 2″?
Greene:
I’m excited to see the final battle scene with the Volturi. Everything has worked up to that big moment. It’s action-packed, and I don’t think the fans will be disappointed!

5 Questions With Ashley Greene - Macy's Herald Square

Woman's Wear Daily ställde fem snabba frågor till Ashley på DKNY signeringen på Macy's Herald Square i torsdags som ni kan se nedan!

WWD: You are playing a fashion designer in your first TV series, the pilot “Americana,” filming now. Did you learn any great tips or tricks on set?
Ashley Greene: Pat Field is the costume designer and she took a vintage coat and turned it inside out and then belted it, which gave it a really vintage distressed look, which was great.

WWD: What items of clothing are in heavy rotation in your personal wardrobe?
A.G.:
DKNY skinny jeans are always a staple for me, and they have amazing (and actually reversible) shearling coats that I’ve been wearing a lot.

WWD: What music are you listening to these days?
A.G.:
I like Pandora.com a lot because I just plug in a song and it goes. I’ve gone back to Ray LaMontagne a lot lately, Taylor Swift’s new song on the “Hunger Games” soundtrack is so good, and I’m a huge fan of Bruno Mars.

WWD: Any fun summer plans?
A.G.:
Hopefully I’ll be working, assuming the pilot gets picked up. I think Fourth of July is one holiday I always try and go back home for, so if I have time I’ll hopefully get to Jacksonville, Florida.

WWD: With the “Twilight” series coming to end, did you nick anything special from the set?
A.G.:
Not this last time, but in the very beginning I took Alice’s Cullen crest necklace, which is pretty awesome, so I have that still, and I took the Jackie Ohh Ray-Ban sunglasses from the second movie. But then I stopped; I thought they are going to start yelling at me.

Intervju med Ashley från DKNY Fashion Show

E! Online intervjuar Ashley på DKNY Fashion Show

Meanwhile, Ashley Greene hit the DKNY show today in Chelsea. We caught up with the elegant star for a few minutes and wondered: Are she and her costars planning a Twilight reunion in New York?

“I actually just got in town!” said the busy star, dressed in a sleek blood-red mini (how fitting!). “But I think after all the fashion shows, we’ll maybe have a chance to sit down and have dinner.”

Apparently, she’s already had quite the whirlwind trip. “I got in, I had to do a little bit of work, fittings and stuff like that, and passed out last night. Got up this morning and got ready for this!”

But she’s looking forward to reconnecting with Lutz and Reed in New York. “Hopefully our schedules aren’t conflicting, though, because while one’s not busy, usually the other one is.”

Now that shooting has wrapped on Breaking Dawn: Part 2, are the stars able to stay in touch, despite their busy schedules?

“Yeah, definitely,” Greene said. “I think it’s nice because most of us are based in L.A., so we do get to see each other.”

As she settled into her front-row seat at the DKNY show, we had to know: Which of her dashing male Twilight costars does she think is the most stylish?

“Taylor Lautner!” she offered. “He’s always so well dressed.”

Ashley Greene Shares Hard-Earned Fashion Wisdom at DKNY

At DKNY on Sunday, Karan hung out before the show with the rest of us, mingling cheerfully with the media before posing for an unending passel of photographs with her current campaign girl Ashley Greene. "Thank you — it's all about the lighting, honey!" she winked at a journalist who asked her to shift her position. [...]

Suddenly it made sense why 90 percent of the assembled reporters — plus several event staffers in headsets — had left on their heavy winter coats. Said Greene, who was clad only in a short-sleeved red dress, "We were like, 'Man it's hot in here,' but they obviously know what they're doing because when the doors opened there was that gust of air and it all evened out, so I was okay."

Greene, who is a month out from her next DKNY shoot, said Karan is once again custom-making her Met Ball gown for the May gala. Having a gown basically built around your body sounds like a pretty dreamy proposition to us, especially smack in the middle of Fashion Week, when everything we brought suddenly seems so boring and doesn't fit quite right (what, blame the red-wine-and-carbs diet? Not us). "A lot of what I wear, they create for me, so, say, they'll send over twenty sketches and say, 'This is what we're thinking, what do you think?'" Greene said. "They obviously totally don't have to give me approval over that stuff but they're incredible about it. It's so cool. To have access to these designers … not everybody gets that. I'm really lucky, and it's just ridiculously fun."

Since she hit it big with Twilight, Greene has been doing enough red carpet appearances (seriously, it feels like she single-handedly carries most of the overseas premieres; we hope her flyer miles buy her a spa vacation) that she said she's noticed an evolution in her personal style. "When you're first thrust into the fashion world, it's overwhelming. The fashion industry has a language of its own and sometimes it's hard to understand," she confessed, laughing. "But I'm definitely learning what works on me or my body type. You have to learn that just because a trend is hot doesn't mean you have to embrace it, or that it looks good on you." Still, even with all the fancy new stuff rolling in, we wondered if Greene ever looks at her closet and realizes she has one fallback item she just keeps buying (kind of like the time we needed more than two hands to count our horizontally striped shirts). "I was always big on t-shirts and jeans, so I have a thousand t-shirts," she said. "I've actually started weeding those out because let's face it, you really only need five. And I have a lot of shoes. A lot of shoes." Girl, we feel you. Whether it's laundry day or Bloat Saturday, shoes always fit, and in our minds you can never have enough. "There's never too many shoes," she affirmed. "Although you can run out of closet space. That's definitely happened." She paused, then corrected herself with a sheepish grin, "That's definitely happening."

Ashley Greene is no stranger to kissing Hollywood’s hot guys.

She’s puckered up to superhunk Kellan Lutz in the sports flick A Warrior’s Heart and, of course, she’s kissed her onscreen Twilight love Jackson Rathbone.

But Greene says the best lip-locker of them all is one of Tinseltown’s sexiest leading ladies: Olivia Wilde!

“I’m going to go with Olivia,” Greene told us last night at her Lucky magazine cover party at Soho House in West Hollywood when asked whom her favorite onscreen kisser is. “Sorry guys. Ours was much more intense than either of the boys, so they need to step up their game.”

If you hadn’t heard, Greene and Wilde filmed a steamy girl-on-girl smooch for their recent indie flick Butter. “Gay men, straight men, straight girls and lesbians all want to kiss Olivia Wilde I think,” she smiled.
So how was the makeout sesh? “She is a good kisser,” Greene laughed. “And I would know this because we had to do several takes.”

Meanwhile, the Breaking Dawn beauty is getting ready to celebrate turning 25 later this month. “I just want to be with my friends and family,” Greene dished. “I’m from Florida and I’ve lived on the beach, so I think I want to go to a beach somewhere.”

Ashleys intervju med Lucky Magazine

Since landing a major role in that
vampire movie series, Ashley Greene has
mastered the red carpet, battled paparazzi and become a DKNY muse and Mark makeup icon.
But she’s still got something to prove.

“I won’t lie, there are times when I’m like, ‘Why is this so hard?’ ” Ashley Greene is saying. “You come off a high like Twilight and then you get dropped back down to reality.”

We’re sitting in a cozy Italian restaurant near Times Square on a rainy winter evening, and Greene—who is best known for playing Alice Cullen, the cheeriest vampire in the Twilight saga movies—is laying out her game plan for making it even bigger in Hollywood.

“Twilight has given me something to skyrocket off of,” Greene says. “But now that it’s ending, there’s so much work to be done. And if I don’t do it, then Twilight’s all I’m ever going to be known for, as great as it is.”

Greene is dressed in all black, including a sleek, faux-fur Marc Jacobs vest, plus shadowy eye makeup—but somehow she doesn’t look at all goth. Instead she almost sparkles, like the moon or stars or werewolf eyes or something. Nonetheless, as she speaks, it becomes apparent that having a cult-like following at just 25 may not be quite as cool as it sounds. On the one hand, the throngs of obsessed fans make her feel like a superstar.

They build adoring websites dedicated to her and fixate on every single thing she does (this category includes certain creepy folks who staked out her parents’ house in Florida and a paparazzo who once drove directly into her garage in L.A.). On the other hand, she still has to prove herself as a leading actress and audition for people who may not be Twilight fans—only now her competition is often big-time celebrities. “Basically I went from ‘dying to get a gig’ to ‘dying to get the gig that everyone wants,’ ” she says. “So now I’m in this realm with a lot of highly respected actresses, which is an amazing place to be, but also kind of terrifying.”

Greene is moving like mad to get what she wants: The fourth Twilight movie came out in November and grossed $138 million over the opening weekend; soon after that she shot four episodes of ABC’s Pan Am; this month she’ll costar in the quirky film Butter and appear in ad campaigns for DKNY and DKNY Jeans (“I love how Donna Karan designs for real women with curves,” Greene says); later this year she’ll appear in the final Twilight movie, take her first lead role, in a summer horror flick called The Apparition, as well as costar in LOL with Demi Moore and continue her gig as the global ambassador for Mark cosmetics. “I mean, I think I’m doing all right,” Greene says as raindrops pelt the restaurant’s windows. “But the main focus is trying to solidify my spot in Hollywood because, you know, I’m not there yet.”

This sense of insecurity has driven Greene—with good results—since childhood. “My mother put me in modeling classes because I had low self-esteem,” Greene says. “I was friends with older people, so I was always around someone more mature who boys responded to. I think that kind of messed with me.” Läs resten av intervjun här.

Nylon Insider intervju med Ashley

On any given day in New York, it’s not unusual to spot dozens of tourist buses cruising around midtown. But this morning was different, because we rode the bright red double-decker with a very special guest. Twilight’s Ashley Greene was there to unveil her DKNY Jeans Billboard, shot by high fashion photo duo Inez and Vinoodh. In between Starbucks pit stops, the 25-year-old NYLON cover girl filled us in on her baking hobby, holiday plans, and why her closet is overflowing with shoes.

How early did you have to wake up this morning?
I woke up at 7, so it wasn’t too bad. It’s funny, I actually just woke up and randomly decided to bake cookies this morning!

Wow, that’s impressive.

I’m preparing for my family to come visit me for the holidays, and I’m starting to realize that it’s hard to get ready, just between the cooking and the prep and all that. So I’m in total Betty Crocker mode right now [laughing]. I felt like a little kid, I was like, “cookies for breakfast!”

So you’re going to have a New York Christmas this year?
Yep, I moved here a few months ago because I’m working here right now. I wish it would be a white Christmas, but I don’t think that’s going to happen.

How was it doing your DKNY Jeans ad with Inez and Vinoodh? Were you nervous?
I wasn’t nervous once I got there because they made me feel so comfortable and made the shoot fun. They showed me the pictures as we were taking them, and I was just like, “how do you guys do this?” It’s like they’re a well-oiled machine because there’s two of them.

Who do you look to for fashion inspiration?
On the carpet I really like Gwyneth Paltrow because her style is pretty similar to mine. In everyday life, I really like Rachel Bilson’s style. She always looks really well put together, but in an effortless kind of way, like she’s just grabbed the clothes out of her closet.

What’s one item in your closet that’s been there forever?
Hm… I have this pair of jeans from seven years ago that I haven’t been able to get rid of. Shoes are also hard for me to throw out, because I never know what I’m going to need! So it’s always overwhelming for me to try to clean out my closet [laughing].

The winter season has arrived! Ashley Greene, the new face of DKNY Jeans Spring 2012, reveals what she thinks is the most romantic thing to do in New York City during this time of year!

Ashley spoke with Celebuzz in NYC today and said:

“I think honestly, especially if it’s snowing outside if you are curled up in your house, the fireplace going and you can see the snow falling down, I think there is something really romantic about that, you’re kind of in your own little world.”

The Twilight star, who unveiled her DKNY billboard this morning, said of the ad, “It’s very New York, I love this city and I think it’s a great representation of New York. “

You can check out Ashley’s gorgeous larger-than-life DKNY ad in the heart of Times Square now.

“Even though it is a photograph of me, I feel like they captured this essence of New York within the photograph,” added Ashley. The rest of her stunning shots for this campaign are set to release in early January 2012.

Ashley Greene gets gritty for the DKNY Jeans Spring 2012 ad campaign.

“You can’t get more New York than that,” laughed Ashley Greene, as we rode with her in a double-decker bus after the unveiling of the star’s brand-new DKNY Jeans ad in—where else?—Times Square.

The Twilight actress was named the face of the DKNY brand in October, and this billboard is the first glimpse of her Spring 2012 ad campaign, shot by Inez van Lemsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin.

“I did not know it was going to be that big,” she told FashionEtc of the billboard. “It’s humongous! I don’t think in my wildest dreams I would have thought I’d be a part of something like that. It’s very exciting.”

Greene connected with the brand after attending a Donna Karan fashion show and meeting the namesake designer post-catwalk.

Soon, Karan was offering to custom-make a gown for Greene to wear at the Met Gala.

“We get along, and we stand for the same thing,” she told us of Karan. “[We both have] a very positive message to women of empowerment.”

And the clothes aren’t too shabby, either. “It’s the greatest thing in the world to be able to have these gowns custom designed for you,” she said.

“They’ll send maybe 20 sketches, and we can kind of mix and match if we want to and go from there. It’s so fun to be able to dip your toes into something like that and be a part of the creative process.”

Don’t hold your breath for the Ashley Greene clothing line, though—while she loves working with the DKNY team (and who wouldn’t?), she told FashionEtc her schedule’s a little packed at the moment for a project like that.

You may have heard of a little thing called Breaking Dawn?

In related news, we got the scoop on how Ashley Greene gets such gorgeous hair from her mane man, Ted Gibson.

New York Times intervjuar Ashley

New York Times intervjuade Ashley på hennes senaste mark. photoshoot och hon pratar om bl.a mode och skönhet.

I recently chatted with Ashley Greene at a photo shoot for Mark Cosmetics. (She’s worked with the brand since 2010.) The fourth installment in the “Twilight” series, “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” just opened, and her next two movies are wrapped and ready to go. Fans, take note: she appears this Sunday on the TV show “Pan Am.” Greene was warm and easy to talk to, and we were able to touch on many topics in a short amount of time.

T.T.: You are on the go and I’m sure you have some long days. What are the essentials in your bag?
A.G.:
Of course I always have my mark staples with me. They’re in my bag now! Make It Go Away Wipes Makeup Removing Wipes, Good Riddance Hook-Up Concealer, Light Bright Lighten and Depuff Eye Gel and Cheat Sheet Shine Blotters.

T.T.: When do you feel most beautiful?
A.G.:
After a great workout. You feel cleansed, destressed and healthy. I feel most beautiful when that rush of endorphins hits. That is a glow that makeup cannot match!

T.T.: When do you feel most sexy?
A.G.:
When I have a smoky eye, a tan and am wearing a great pair of high heels.

T.T.: Do you usually stick to one fragrance?
A.G.:
I change it up, depending on my mood. I usually choose between mark Celebrate, White Vetiver or Sassy fragrances.

T.T.: Is there a beauty item you’ll splurge on?
A.G.:
I will splurge on good skin care. Taking care of my skin is a priority. I’ll spend a lot on a really good brightening mask, which is crucial before a shoot or the red carpet.

T.T.: When you work hard and you’re superbusy, what keeps you grounded?
A.G.:
My team. The people you surround yourself with on a daily basis. It’s your support system, and I have a good one.

T.T.: What does your perfect day off consist of?
A.G.:
Coming from Florida, I’d have to say kicking back on the beach and listening to the ocean, with some good food and music.

T.T.: Beachy hair or straight?
A.G.:
Straight!

T.T.: What products do you use to achieve straight hair?
A.G.:
When I’m lucky enough to have Ted Gibson as my hairdresser, that helps! His line of hair products is awesome. I especially like the Hairsheet Styling Sheets, Beautiful Hold Hairspray and Tame It Shine Lotion — they work wonders.

T.T.: When you are not working, do you wear much makeup?
A.G.:
I prefer to go barefaced. It feels so honest and clean … it’s literally more me! I like to see what my mom and dad gave me whenever possible. If anything, I’ll enhance my lashes with a few individuals at the outer corners, and apply a bit of mascara. A little concealer and a well-shaped brow and I’m ready to go. A good brow really enhances and frames the eyes.

T.T.: What is your mascara of choice?
A.G.:
Honestly, I’ve tried many. Lash All You Want Mascara by Mark is really the ultimate mascara.

T.T.: What does your diet consist of?
A.G.:
I’m actually quite a foodie. I love a great gourmet meal. In general I stick to greens to stay alkaline, along with fish and chicken. I drink lots of water. I’m always excited to go Europe, because the food is really special.

T.T.: Do you have a favorite treat?
A.G.:
I do enjoy an occasional McDonalds ice cream cone … so delicious!

T.T.: What do you aim for with your style?
A.G.:
I like to dress in a way that leaves some mystery. I mix masculine and feminine pieces most of the time. And I enjoy classic glamour too.

T.T.: Who is your style icon?
A.G.:
Audrey Hepburn. She had such elegance and beauty. Plus she was a great humanitarian. Her internal beauty made her that much more special.

T.T.: Is there an actor you admire?
A.G.:
I would say Cate Blanchett. She is so real, effortless and not contrived in any way. Her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth always blows me away. Also, I really admire Robert Downey Jr. He’s incredibly magnetic, yet simple and easy … genius!

T.T.: You recently filmed a public service announcement, championing a certain cause. Can you tell me a little about that?
A.G.:
Yes. It was for m.empowerment by Mark. Its a philanthropic initiative committed to breaking the cycle of dating abuse and partner violence. The 16-24-year-old group experiences the highest rates of partner violence. Mark and I want to help change that statistic.

Fler Breaking Dawn Part 1 Press Junket intervjuer

The Hollywood Reporter; Pratar Pan Am, Oliva Twsited & BD

The Hollywood Reporter har en jättebra och intressant ny intervju med Ashley där hon pratar mer om sin roll i Pan Am och sina kommande filmer The Apparation och Oliva Twisted samt mer om Breaking Dawn Part 1.
With the beginning of the end of the vampire saga in theatres now, the actress reflects on the experience and discusses what’s to come for her career.

Since she was cast in 2008, Ashley Greene has had the job of stepping into one of the most beloved characters fromStephenie Meyer’s The Twilight Saganovels. As Alice Cullen, she plays Edward’s (Robert Pattinson) closest sibling and possibly Bella’s (Kristen Stewart) fiercest protector next to him and Jacob (Taylor Lautner).

As with any film series based on novels with a rabid fan base, the responsibility must weigh heavily on an actress. For 24-year-old Greene, that seems especially true.

“This was my first real job as an actor and in a million years, I never could have dreamed up what Twilight would become,” Greene tells The Hollywood Reporter.

“I got a crash course in Hollywood, getting to work with four amazing directors, learning the ups and downs of the industry, and growing both personally and professionally,”
she continues. “It gave all of us a springboard for our careers and the most amazing and passionate fan base we could imagine. You can’t take one second of an experience and an opportunity like this for granted. I still wake up every day pinching myself.”

On the eve of Twilight: Breaking Dawn Part 1’s massive opening weekend, Greene opened up to THR about the film’s success, her experience being a part of the phenomenon, and what fans can expect from her next.

The Hollywood Reporter: What’s your reaction to Breaking Dawn Part 1 debuting as the fifth biggest domestic box office opening of all time?
Ashley Greene:
It was an overwhelming mix of emotions – intense excitement, awe, gratitude to the fans, and definitely a bit of relief! Even with a film like Twilight, you’re still nervous each time. I never take our incredible fan base for granted. Without their continual support of the films and us, we wouldn’t have had the opportunity to finish out the saga. We truly have the best fans in the world, and this weekend just drives that point home.

THR: Have you been able to speak with your fellow actors about the opening yet?
Greene:
I was at a magazine shoot all day [Sunday], so unfortunately not yet! Ironically, this weekend was the first time in a month that I’ve been apart from my cast mates, since the press tour just ended on Friday. I’m sure we’ll all chat later this week and celebrate next time we’re together.

THR: Let’s talk about some of the most talked-about scenes of the latest film. Were you shocked at how graphic Bella’s birth scene was?
Greene:
It was a bit hard to watch at points, but overall, I think [director] Bill Condon was extremely sensitive and conscientious of our younger audience. He had the difficult job of staying true to the book without turning off a major sector of our audience. I think he did a good job of balancing that task.

THR: Can you describe the lengths the production went to in order to keep Bella’s wedding dress under wraps?
Greene:
We were literally under wraps! All of us, but most importantly Kristen, wore sacks when we were shuttled to and from the set. There were helicopters and paparazzi everywhere — it was a massive covert operation to keep it all a secret!

THR: Did the wedding scenes live up to your expectations?
Greene:
Absolutely. As a fan of the series myself, I’ve been waiting four years for this moment, just like everyone else. It was magical watching the words on the pages of the book and script transform into this beautiful, live-action moment. The scene holds a lot of weight and was also special, because it was shot on the last days of filming.

THR: Alice has to do some fighting and she’s very acrobatic. How much of your stunts and fighting scenes do you actually get to do?
Greene:
I did almost all of my own stunts, which I loved. We worked with fantastic stunt trainers and I took to it quickly, in part because I did martial arts and dance growing up. The most challenging thing about Alice’s stunts is that she’s supposed to fight with an immense amount of agility and grace, like a dancer. Try moving like that while doing cartwheels in the air, on wires, over a mock wolf!

THR: Do you feel that the films could have included more of Alice’s backstory?
Greene:
I would have loved to explore Alice’s backstory. But luckily, our fans know everything there is to know about our characters and their backstories — more than us in some cases! So, I have faith that they understand what shaped the character of Alice, and why she is the way she is, without having seen her backstory come to life on screen.

THR: How do they portray Renesmee’s (Mackenzie Foy) advanced growth and supernatural intelligence in the next film?
Greene:
If I told you, I’d have to kill you! The truth is, the fans already know the thru line of Breaking Dawn Part 2 thanks to the book, so we’re trying hard to keep what we can a secret, so they can savor the experience of the last film. What I will say is that they won’t be disappointed!

THR: What are you most looking forward to seeing in the final film?
Greene:
I’m excited to see the big battle sequence between the vampires and the Volturi. A lot of that was shot on green screen, so I’ll be watching it for the first time along with the fans.

THR: You have several upcoming projects. What was the best part of filming the horror movie, The Apparition?
Greene:
The Apparition was my first studio lead, so it was very cool to be on set every day, in almost every scene, watching first-hand how the film played out from start to finish. I learned a lot about myself as an actor, and about what goes on behind the camera.

THR: How’s your recently announced Pan Am role different from what you’ve done before? What’s Michael Mosley [who plays co-pilot Ted Vanderway] like to work with?
Greene:
Pan Am is my first experience shooting an arc on a television series. TV is very different from film, so I’m enjoying that new experience. And I’ve never played a character from the 60s before. It’s a fascinating role to step into, experiencing everything from the wardrobe to the political and social issues of that era. So far, I’ve only shot a couple scenes with Michael, but he’s fantastic to play opposite of, and was very welcoming to the new girl!

THR: What was the main difference between shooting TV over films?
Greene:
The biggest difference is probably the time. With TV, you shoot through the episodes at a pretty rapid pace, so there isn’t as much time to talk through your character and the scenes with the director as there is in film. On a movie, you might spend months prepping a character and breaking down each scene. It’s not that one forum is better or worse, it’s just a different experience. It’s taught me the value of exploring both film and TV as I grow professionally.

THR: Would you consider becoming a regular on a TV series?
Greene:
For me, it’s always about my connection with the character and the story. If the right role comes along, be it film or TV, I’d go after it wholeheartedly.

THR: What kind of role would you like to do?
Greene:
There’s no one specific role I’d love to do because I’m excited by the prospect of diversifying my roles. In Butter, I got to dabble in comedy for the first time, and in Olivia Twisted, the film I just signed onto, I’m jumping headfirst into a darker, grittier, more action-packed role. The most important thing to me when choosing a role is finding a connection to the character and the story. Other than that, I’m open to whatever comes my way!

THR: The American Music Awards were just on. Did you have any favorites among the AMA nominees? What was your favorite moment?
Greene:
Sadly, I didn’t get to watch this year. But I’m listening to Adele on repeat these days, so a big congrats to her on all her nominations!

Newsok intervju; "Twilight’ has given me the ability to say no"

Newsok har släppt hela deras exklusiva intervju med Ashley där hon pratar om bl.a Butter och The Apparation och att hitta nya, intressanta projekt.
“Twilight” Week continues here at BAM’s Blog, and with this weekend’s release of the penultimate film in the saga, “Breaking Dawn – Part 1,” series star Ashley Greene is looking beyond the “Twilight” phase in her career.

“I think ‘Twilight’ has given us a really good jumping off point, and one of the things I’m most thankful for — other than the fan base that we’ve developed — is that it gave me the ability to say no and to really sit back and wait for something that was inspiring to me and that was different and that I was passionate about,” she told me in an exclusive, one-on-one interview at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles during the recent press day for the film.

“I think that’s one of most tragic things is when you have to take a (role). You know, it’s hard to say no to a job if you can’t pay your rent, and sometimes that kind of tarnishes someone’s career a little bit, I think. So I’ve been lucky enough to really sit back with my team and say you know, ‘What do we think about this?’ and ‘Does this character interest you?’ and ‘Is the film as a whole great, and who’s directing it?’ and just really look at all the elements. I think the most important thing right now is to kind of create longevity and to be really smart about the choices that I’m making.”

Greene’s post-“Twilight” acting career is starting Dec. 4 with a three-episode arc on ABC’s 1960s-set aviation drama “Pan Am.” She recently signed on for “Olivia Twisted,” an ultramodern female version of “Oliver Twist.”

She also stars in the comedic films “Butter” with Jennifer Garner and Hugh Jackman and “LOL” with Miley Cyrus and Demi Moore.

“I’m very interested in comedy,” she said, adding that “Butter” was the first project “that I was terrified, but it ended being really fun. You know, I took the role and then was like ‘Oh my God, what am I doing? I don’t know what I’m doing.’ You know, it was all very new. I’m still learning every day and taking different parts that I’ve never done.”

Another project she found inspiring: “The Apparition,” the feature film debut from Tulsa writer-director Todd Lincoln. who created the hit deadCenter Film Festival documentary “Biker Fox.” In Lincoln’s thriller, she and Sebastian Stan play a couple terrorized by a supernatural force that feeds on their fears.

“It was really fun working with him, and … you could just tell that this was his baby and he was so passionate about it. And Todd actually fought for me on that movie. I met with him, and he was kind of one of the driving forces that got me that role, so (I’m) very thankful for that,” she said.

She also said that she’s thankful to have one more “Twilight” film coming up: “Breaking Dawn: Part 2? opens in theaters Nov. 16, 2012.

“I think the end of ‘Twilight’ is like the beginning of the rest of my career. I think inevitably there’s gonna be that piece of me that’s missing. I feel like because ‘Twilight’s’ become such a huge part of my world and it’s all I’ve know for the past four years, it’s like leaving high school a bit. You’re very excited about it, but you still know that you’re gonna kind of miss it. It’s a very huge change that’s going to happen. But I’m very optimistic about it and very excited about it, and I at least know that next year we have another one coming out. So even though I’ve kind of had to shelf the Alice Cullen character — which is a little difficult — I’m still gonna have these events and press junkets and cast dinners and premieres and stuff like that. They’re kind of weaning us off it rather than just cold turkey.”

E! Online pratar mer om Pan Am med Ashley

Ashley pratade lite mer med E! Online om hennes kommande gästspel i serien Pan Am som kommer sändas i USA den 4 december.

It’s always nice to have a backup plan when you’re one of the stars of a megafranchise that’s about to end. For example: Breaking Dawn‘s Ashley Greene is headed to prime-time television.

Greene just booked a three-episode arc on ABC’s Pan Am, but the details surrounding her role have been sparse. Until now.

Greene fills us in on the part, plus she reveals why she chose this as her first post-Twilight Saga gig…

“I think Pan Am to me, when I look at it and when I watch it, seems like a mix of movie and TV; it’s not quite a film, it’s not quite TV. And it’s a really interesting thing, kind of along the lines of what HBO does,” Greene says. “I think it’s just very beautifully and well shot. And it’s in the 1960s, and I’ve been wanting to do something like that for a while.“

Well, when you’re part of one of the biggest movie series of all time, you tend to be a little too busy to drop in on a television series.

But the Pan Am producers saw their chances when Greene found a space in her schedule after Breaking Dawn: Part 1 premiered.

“They approached me probably a week ago and asked if I wanted to be a part of it, and I read this three-episode arc,” Greene told us. “It’s very interesting; it’s different than anything I’ve ever done. So I’m excited.“

Greene will play Amanda, a childhood friend of Ted (Michael Mosley). “Their fathers are very good friends and [she] may or may not be romantically interested in him,” she tells us. “But she definitely has a twist. I feel like all of the characters have a twist, and so it was a very interesting character that I haven’t done yet.”
